From the publisher
California tells its own story in pictures. The remarkable photographs showcased in California 24/7 are from the America 24/7 project, an extraordinary digital photography project that harnessed the talents of more than 25,000 local photographers in all 50 states. During the course of a single week, this team of inspired amateurs, talented photography students, top photojournalists, and great newspaper shooters -- including 36 Pulitzer Prize winners -- created an unprecedented visual time capsule of American life. - Back cover.
